Matthew Poole

Matthew Poole received the BSc (Hons) and PhD degrees in computer science from Swansea University in 1990 and 1995, respectively. He has held positions at the University of Leeds, Swansea University and Coventry University. His research interests lie at the interface between computer science and computational science, with applications in modeling and simulation of physiological systems such as electrical activity in cardiac tissue. Current work also includes the application of computational intelligence techniques to problems in bioinformatics and systems biology. He has been a senior lecturer at the University of Portsmouth since 2003.
