Mats A. Granskog

Mats A. Granskog received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in geophysics (hydrosphere and cryosphere) from the University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland, in 1999 and 2004, respectively. He held post-doctoral positions at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB, Canada, and the University of Lapland, and received a scholarship from the Walter and Andrée de Nottbeck Foundation, Finland. He has been a Senior Research Scientist with the Norwegian Polar Institute, Tromsø, Norway, since 2008. He has ample experience from fieldwork in polar and subpolar seas and has authored 150 peer-reviewed publications on broad topics in cold climate environments. His research interests are related to Arctic sea ice and its interactions with the atmosphere, ocean, and ecosystems.
