个人简介
Prof. Lapôtre leads the Earth & Planetary Surface Processes group. His research focuses on the physics behind sedimentary and geomorphic processes that shape planetary surfaces (including Earth's), and aims to untangle what landforms and rocks tell us about the past hydrology, climate, and habitability of planets.
Prof. Lapôtre's research focuses on sediment transport, fluvial and eolian morphodynamics, fluid and erosion mechanics, applications of quantitative geomorphology and sedimentology to paleoenvironmental reconstuctions on Earth and other planetary bodies, planetary exploration, orbital and in situ geology, and VSWIR spectroscopy.
