Martine Marie Bellanger

Martine M. BELLANGER, PhD Martine M Bellanger, professor of Health Economics and associate researcher at the UMR ARENES 6051 Human and Social Sciences (SHS), EHESP- school of public health and Rennes 1 university, is senior scientist at the SHS unit at ICO, comprehensive cancer center in Nantes-Angers, France. She acted as the director of the EHESP Master of Public Health (MPH) between 2010 and July 2020. Her main interests for research are in economic analysis of health care and health technology assessment, and primary prevention. Currently, her particular focus is economic analysis addressing health and social inequality, the measurement of performance of public health prevention programmes and the economic value of new therapies, with a particular focus on long-term care and services for patients with chronic diseases such as cancer. Applying cost-benefit analysis and developing economic modelling of health outcomes and costs, are key approaches that Martine Bellanger implements including reduction in environmental exposure (both social and chemical) targeting children and adolescents from disadvantaged neighborhoods, using a community based approach. She contributed to many European and international projects. Last, she is co-chair of the international breast cancer prevention (IBCN) project She is member of the executive committee of Chaire Santé Sciences Po, Paris FR.
