Main areas of my research include environmental & contaminant geochemistry focused on the behaviour of metals (Cd, Cu, Pb, Zn) and metalloids (As, Sb), including their release, mobility, and solid phase speciation. Currently, I deal with waste-derived amendments (iron-, sewage sludge-, biomass-based) – their characterisation, safety, and testing to improve soil properties and immobilise contaminants. I am principally interested in degraded soils and localities impacted by mining and smelting.
