Martin Warren

I am interested in the pigments of life - molecules such as heme, chlorophyll, vitamin B12, coenzyme F430, siroheme and heme d1 - how they are made and the chemical logic underpinning their construction. My lab also works on the biogenesis, engineering and redesign of bacterial microcompartments, prokaryotic proteinaceous organelles that house specific metabolic pathways such as those associated with propanediol utilisation.
