Martin Franz (SM'96) received the M.S. degree in computer science/electrical engineering from the Czech Technical University, Prague, Czech Republic, in 1986. He joined the Continuous Speech Recognition Group, IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY, in 1992 to work on language modeling for speech. Currently, he is with the Natural Language System Department at IBM Research, working on techniques for unstructured information processing.
