Marta is a guest assistant professor and researcher at the NOVA Medical School, having several ongoing pre-clinical and clinical research projects in the field of metabolic disease associated with lifestyle and dietary intake. She has received project funding from international funding bodies, such as Fundacao para a Ciencia e Tecnologia (FCT) and the New Zealand Health and Research Council (HRC). She won several scientific and travel awards and is the author of over 40 publications.
