个人简介
Currently is Diretor of the Applied Research Institute of Polytechnic of Coimbra and also the coordinator of the Master Degree in Biotechnology. Since 2013 is Adjunct Professor at the Department of Food Science and Technology, School of Agriculture, Polytechnic of Coimbra, teaching in Food Technology and Biotechnology BSc and MSc Degrees.
Researcher at the Research Center for Natural Resources, Environment and Society, in the Food Science and Engineering Research Group, with a focus on the development of novel products and processes, and the valorization of food processing by-products for resolving environmental problems and augmenting food production. Colaborates with the Chemical Process Engineering and Forest Products Research Centre (CIEPQPF). Has been involved as coordinator and team member in 13 national and international research projects. Has co-authored 2 patents in the scope of dairy products. In the last 6 years, received 12 prizes and awards in R&D business-oriented projects.
