Martin Desimone was born in Buenos Aires-Argentina. He graduated from Pharmacy, Biochemistry and received his PhD degree from the University of Buenos Aires. Currently, he is a CONICET researcher and Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at the same University. He was recipient of awards and distinctions including the participation in the 2016 Emerging Investigator themed issue of the Journal of Materials Chemistry B, the Award Innovar in the category applied research received in two consecutive years (2016 and 2017) from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation (MINCYT), the distinction “Dr. Jose A. Balseiro” XV edition, received in The Argentine Senate, which is the upper house of the Argentine National Congress and the “Academic Excellence" UBA
