Marko N. Panić received the joint Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Novi Sad, Serbia, and Ghent University, Ghent, Belgium, in 2020. He is currently a Research Fellow with the Centre for Information Technologies, BioSense Institute, University of Novi Sad. As a member of the BioSense Team, he participated in the Syngenta Crop Challenge three times, which resulted in winning first and third place and two Open Source Computer Vision Library (OPENCV) challenges, both times finalists. He works on advanced statistical analysis of image data, obtained from different sensors, using machine learning techniques with applications in biology, agriculture, environmental sciences, and health.
