Marko Jeločnik has a PhD in Agro-economics (thesis was defended at the Faculty of Agriculture, University in Novi Sad, Serbia). He works at the Institute of Agricultural Economics - Belgrade, Serbia in the sector for scientific-research. He had professional development through the few study visits in China, Italy, and USA. He is primarily focused to investments in agriculture, economics of agriculture and rural development, and strategic planning in agriculture. As (co)author he published more than 150 scientific references. He participated in realization of more than 40 scientific-research projects. He is a member of few professional associations (A.A.E.S., E.R.D.N., RebResNet, etc.).
