Mark G. Van Vledder

Mark G. van Vledder received the M.Sc. and Medical degrees in 2009 at the Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where he is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in surgical oncology. He served as a Research Fellow in surgical oncology in the Department of Surgery in The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD, in 2009 and 2010. He is currently a Resident in general surgery at the Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and continues his surgical training in the IJselland Hospital, Capelle aan de IJssel, the Netherlands. His research interests include intraoperative ultrasound, image registration, surgical robotics, and needle-based interventions for liver tumors. Dr. van Vledder is currently a member of the Dutch Surgical Society.
