Mario Zampolli

Mario Zampolli currently works at the International Monitoring System Division, Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), as a Hydroacoustic Engineer. Mario has an established expertise in Mathematical Modelling techniques, Ocean Acoustics, Physical Acoustics, Elasticity, Fluid Dynamics and Signal Processing. His work covers theoretical and applied aspects, including the management and execution of complex maritime projects entailing expeditionary field work in some of the world’s most remote and challenging oceans. Mario is a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America, and a recipient of the A.B. Wood Medal (2010). He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Boston University) and a Master's Degree (Laurea) in Mathematics (University of Bologna).
