He is an Associate Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, having completed the Doctoral Program in Didactics and Professional Development at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, in 2011. He has also completed another Doctoral Program in Linguistic Studies by the University of Vigo, Spain, in 2019. He has published several articles in scientific journals, and papers in conference proceedings, having collaborated with more than 30 other researchers. He has been advisor of dissertations and monographs in the field of Education and Languages and Literatures.
