Marina Sanz

Marina Sanz (Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Madrid, Spain, in 1997 and 2004, respectively. She was a Researcher with the Polytechnic University of Madrid from 1997 to 2001. In 2001, she joined the Department of Electronic Technology, Carlos III University of Madrid, Madrid, where she is currently an Associate Professor, the Vice Dean of the Engineering School, and the Head of the Electrical Engineering and Automation Bachelor Degree. She has been involved in power electronics since 1997, participating in more than 60 research projects with public and private funding. She has published more than 120 papers, many of them in IEEE journals, books, and conferences with high impact factor. Her research also resulted in four patents and an international registered software. She is the Co-Founder of the spin-off company Power Smart Control S.L., Leganés, Spain, targeting applications and CAD for power electronics. Her main research interests include power electronics system modeling and stability issues, especially in transport and telecommunication applications. Her research also covers digital control in power electronics and educational issues on power electronics. Dr. Sanz is a member of the IEEE Power Electronics Society, where she also serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics. She is also a member of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and the IEEE Education Society.
