Marija Ćosić, Phd, graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Belgrade in 2007. She defended her PhD thesis entitled " The Effect of Kaolinite on Improved Water Use Efficiency in Different Irrigation Treatments of Peppers (Capsicum annuum, L.) at the same faculty in 2015. She has been employed at the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Agriculture since 2008 and was elected to the role of Associate Professor in November 2020. Since 2007, she has participated in a number of national and international projects as a researcher and expert. She participated in a number of projects, among which the following stand out: “Climate change impact on water resources in Serbia” TR 37005 (Project funded by the Serbian Ministry of Educationand Science); “Integrated Agro-meteorological Prediction System“ – IAPS (The Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia); Advancing medium and long-term adaptation planning in the Republic of Serbia (Project is funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management); Low-cost low-power IoT devices for Precision Agriculture (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development(EBRD)) which are related to the Moving Farm project. Dr. Marija Ćosić is engaged in scientific research in the field of water and soil management. Research on irrigation scheduling of agricultural crops, evapotranspiration, crop water requirement, water use efficiency, crop growth modeling, natural flood protection measures, climate change impact on agricultural water use, and adaptation of agriculture to climate change. Number of citations (excluding self-citations) is 215 and Hirsch index from SCOPUS 6.
