Marieke J H Begemann

I am a trained neuropsychologist (Utrecht University, the Netherlands). I performed my PhD in the UMC Utrecht under supervision of Prof. Dr. Iris Sommer, on the topic of childhood trauma as a risk factor for psychosis (defense: September 6th, 2017). Concurrently, I was the project manager on a multicenter randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trial on the efficacy of simvastatin treatment in recent-onset psychosis. I have combined my work in the field of research with a teaching position in Neuropsychology at Utrecht University. I am currently affiliated with the UMC Groningen as well as the UMC Utrecht (the Netherlands) as a postdoctoral fellow, where I continue my work on psychosis, childhood trauma and cognition. I am the project manager for the HAMLETT study (www.hamlett.nl).
