个人简介
Marie Kasprzyk is a rotordynamics engineer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Her research focuses on rotordynamics, balancing, energy dissipation mechanisms, modeling and improvement of rotating machinery systems and components. Her Ph.D. studies at Texas A&M under Dr. Adolfo Delgado focused on instabilities with special emphasis on trapped fluid. Her responsibilities included designing, machining/fabricating, assembling, commissioning, and testing rotordynamic rigs. Additionally, she mentored and advised students with annular seal, mechanical seal, thrust bearing, squeeze film damper, and hydraulic pump rigs. Before pursuing her Ph.D., she worked at Dow Chemical as a maintenance/reliability engineer in HDPE (high-density polyethylene) and elastomer polyethylene manufacturing facilities, where she worked on multiple initiatives involving the improvement of rotating and stationary mechanical equipment.
