Bio
Mariana Patanita has completed the master's degree in Biological Engineering in 14/06/2018 by Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisboa. Attends the PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences by University of Évora since 09/2019, supported by FCT with a PhD scholarship. M. Patanita's core interests are in agrarian sciences, particularly on plant protection and plant pathology, and has been dedicated to the study of endophytic and pathogenic fungi in important Mediterranean crops, focusing on the understanding plant-pathogen interactions for the development of new tools for prevention, diagnosis and biological control. M. Patanita is a researcher in the Mediterranean Institute for Agriculture, Environment and Development (MED), University of Évora. During her career, M. Patanita has published 9 articles in indexed scientific journals and 1 article in technical journal, 4 conference abstracts with oral presentation and 4 conference posters, collaborating with 30 researchers. M. Patanita participated in 25 international and national events and organized 3 events. Additionally, M. Patanita participated in 3 projects, 2 of them as Research Fellow, and has received 3 awards.
