Bio
Mariana Botelho got her master degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2010 by the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra. Later in 2011, she got a FCT grant to develop her PhD project under the scientific supervision of Professor Cláudia Cavadas, at the CNC - Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, University of Coimbra. Between 2011 and 2012, Mariana Botelho was for 10 months at Yale University, USA, to develop part of PhD project under the supervision of Professor Tamas Horvath. In March 2016, Mariana Botelho got her PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra, with specialization in Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy. After attaining the PhD, Mariana Botelho become a postdoctoral researcher with a Post-Doc fellowship integrated in project “Peripheral NPY reverts HGPS phenotype: a study in human fibroblasts and mouse model”, under Professor Cláudia Cavadas supervision.
Mariana Botelho presented orally their work at four national scientific conferences and performed two oral communication by invitation. Also presented their work in poster format in international conferences, collaborated on practical-laboratory classes in the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra, and participated in various science communication activities. Mariana Botelho is author/co-author of 5 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals.
