My research is focusing on biomarkers of nutrition and rehabilitation in post-stroke patients undergoing rehabilitation. Nutritional biomarkers include blood parameters, such as protein, lipid, and oxidative stress levels, as well as serotonin and BDNF. The assessment includes also anthropometric measurements, and total and segmental Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA). Polymorphism and methylation of gene-involved rehabilitation biomarkers are another focus (serotonin, BDNF).
