I have investigated different mechanisms of resistance to antimicrobials in several pathogens (2006 to 2007 at CIB, Madrid; 2008 to 2009 at HPA, London). Currently, i am working with a research contract (ISCIII) initiating new research on the relationship between resistance and virulence mechanisms. Moreover, i am the coordinator of the UDG in the Microbiology Department at CHU A Coruna which examines new molecular techniques for the diagnosis of infectious diseases.
