Maria Filomena Botelho is a senior researcher with a remarkable publication record in biophysics, animal models of human diseases and oncobiology, and experienced in coordinating and supervising PhD and MSc students and projects. He has participated in many research projects as PI and member of the research team and has several national and international collaborations. She is Director of Biophysics Institute of FMUC and Leader of the Research Line Modeling in Cancer at CIMAGO. Main research topics: Biophysics; Development of animal models for human diseases (cancer, cardiac ischemia); Nuclear Oncology (from molecular biology to molecular imaging); Photodynamic therapy in models in vitro and in vivo; Radiopharmacy.
