My long-term goal is to improve the efficacy of transferrin-based targeted delivery systems in cancer diagnostic and therapy via the development of a non-invasive whole-body imaging system to achieve the direct visualization of the delivery of near-infrared (NIR)-transferrin-drug conjugates into breast tumor tissues and cells.
