Marco Di Girolamo

Marco di Girolamo Graduated in Electronics Engineering (summa cum laude) in November 1986. More than 25 years of working experience in R&D, IT and Consulting environments, in different Companies, both Italian and international. In HP since 1993, covered positions in R&D as Development Engineer, in Customer Care and IT Department. Since 2000, he is working in the Italy Innovation Centre, where served as senior technology specialist, solution architect and project manager in different engagements, both internal and external. Since 2002, he is leading HP Italy activities into European collaborative research and innovation. In this position, hes coordinated ad led HP Italy initiatives related to European innovation programs, including IST FP5, FP6, FP7, eContent and CIP project participations. He co-authored different publications within the projects he contributed to. In particular, he contributed as WP leader to the FIT4Green and All4Green projects, which investigated methods, tools and metrics to improve energy efficiency of datacentres in integrated ecosystems. He is currently engaged in the DC4Cities project, investigating technologies to maximize the share of renewable energy used in supplying datacentres.
