Marcel W. Pruessner

Marcel W. Pruessner (M’01) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA in 2005. From 2005 to 2007, he worked as a National Research Council Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), Washington, DC, USA. He is currently a Research Electrical Engineer in the Optical Sciences Division, NRL. His research interests include integrated optics, optical micro-electro-mechanical systems, cavity optomechanics, and micro/nanofabrication. He has served as a reviewer for the IEEE Sensors Conf. (2010–2015) and received the Best Student Paper award at the IEEE Indium Phosphide & Related Materials Conf. (2005).
