María Teresa Magaz

María Teresa Magaz was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1965. She received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in organic chemistry from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Madrid, in 1986 and 1988, respectively, and the M.Sc. degree in occupational health and safety from the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, Madrid, Spain, in 2010. She was a Research Assistant Technician with the La Marañosa Institute of Technology (INTA), Madrid, from 2010 to 2015, working on optical photolithography for the development of PbSe IR detectors. Since 2017, she has been working as a Research Assistant Technician with the Centro de Astrobiología (CSIC-INTA), Madrid, in collaboration with IMDEA-Nanociencia, Madrid. Her research focuses on the processing and optimization of nano- and micro-fabrication of superconductor lumped-element kinetic inductance detectors for future space missions. Her expertise includes sputtering deposition in high vacuum conditions, optical and electrical lithography, and reactive ion etching techniques.
