Manfred Wendt

Manfred Wendt (manfred.wendt@cern.ch) has been with CERN in Geneva, Switzerland since 2012 and is Section Leader of the Beam Position Section in the Beam Instrumentation Group. He teaches and lectures at the CERN Accelerator School (CAS) and at the Joint University Accelerator School (JUAS) in the areas of RF measurement techniques/technologies and beam instrumentation for particle accelerators. From 2005–2012, he was Head of the Instrumentation Department of the Accelerator Division at Fermilab in Batavia, Illinois, and prior to that was with DESY in Hamburg, Germany, serving as Deputy Group Leader in the Beam Diagnostics and Instrumentation Group and as Crew Chief part-time on the Accelerator Operations shift team. He studied electrical engineering at the University for Applied Science in Hamburg (Germany) and at the Distance-University of Hagen (Germany).
