Malgorzata Szczodrak

Malgorzata Szczodrak received the M.Sc. degree in physics from Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland, in 1987, and the Ph.D. degree from the Atmospheric Science Programme, The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada, in 1998. She is currently an Associate Scientist with the Department of Ocean Sciences, Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, University of Miami, Miami, FL, USA. Her research focuses on ship-based infrared (IR) measurements of sea surface temperature and algorithm development, as well as the validation of satellite sea surface temperature (SST) products for the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) and the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS).
