Maho Yokoyama

I am currently a Research Fellow in Laboratory Microbiology at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. My research fields are microbiology (infectious diseases), molecular biology and genomics. My project aims to see if a change in antibiotic prescribing has an effect on antibitoci resistance gene carriage in the gut microbiome. My most recent publication is 'Epistasis analysis uncovers hidden antibiotic resistance-associated fitness costs hampering the evolution of MRSA". This is my Ph.D. work.
