Scientific Life Summary After graduating from Medical College at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, I started my carrier in Canada at McMaster University, where I did my residency and clinical training in both clinical microbiology & infectious diseases. This residency led me to get deeply involved in the field and continued in the same carrier and obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Canada. After that, I expanded my interest to include Infection Control and Prevention and Public Health and did practical training. McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada, awarded me an Infection Control and Prevention Fellowship. Then went to the University of British Columbia, received a certificate in Infection Control and Prevention, and passed the American Board of Infection Control exam to become certified in infection control (CIC). I have worked as an Infectious diseases consultant at Hamilton General Hospital in Canada for 7 Months. My interest in infection control never stopped, and fascinated by teaching the art of infection control to newcomers, so I started training at The University of Toronto. I trained to become a certified clinical teacher and accreditation specialist by Accreditation Canada. Currently, I Am working as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at King Abdulaziz University Hospital and Deputy head of the Infection Control and Environmental Health Unit. I am proud of my Infection Control clinic at King Abdulaziz University Hospital. I am a member of several national committees, The national Infectious Diseases Committee, the Covid Committee, etc., in addition to my role as one of the Infection Control Auditors for the Minister of Health of Saudi Arabia and the Director of the National Tuberculosis Program. My interest in Antimicrobial Resistance and Infection Prevention in Long term centers and simulation training continues to grow with several publications in these fields.
