Macit Ilkit

Prof. Macit Ilkit is a Professor of Medical Microbiology at the Faculty of Medicine, and Director of the Division of Mycology at the University of Cukurova, Adana, Turkey. His research focuses on (1) the epidemiology of dermatophytes with the objective of defining their virulence attributes and strategies to improve diagnosis, and (2) the ecological characteristics of melanized fungi and their correlation with clinical manifestations in order to improve therapeutic modalities.
