Bio
Mate Turbucz is a mechanical engineer specializing in solid mechanics and biomedical engineering. He is a doctorate student at the Semmelweis University, Doctoral School of Károly Rácz Clinical Medicine.
Máté has multiple years of academic and clinical experience in developing patient-specific finite element models, 3D-printed anatomical models, and surgical guides.
He works at the In Silico Biomechanics Laboratory as a research engineer focusing on the implementation of various 3D-aided techniques in the everyday clinical care. Máté was part of multiple international research groups and the author of several finite element-based scientific publications.
He finished first at the National Conference of Scientific Students' Associations in 2021 and received several awards at different conferences of Scientific Students' Associations at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and at the Semmelweis University.
Máté received a Doctoral Scholarship in the Cooperative Doctoral Programme for 48 months, an award from the Association of Hungarian American Academicians, and the Excellence PhD Scholarship given by Semmelweis University.
