D-r Maria Nikolova serves as an Associate Professor at Ruse University “A. Kanchev”, Bulgaria, and is a Coordinator for Technology of Materials Master program. She is head of laboratories of “Scanning Electron Microscopy” and “Evaluation of Coatings and Materials“. Her expertise area is in surface engineering, focusing on thermochemical treatment and PVD coatings. Her current research interests focus on synthesis and evaluation of nanomaterials for biomedical application and multidisciplinary approach of technological application of nanoparticles. She has also extensive knowledge of spectroscopic techniques, XRD, SEM, properties evaluation, etc.
