Matthias Lauermann received the Diploma degree and the Dr.-Ing. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, in 2011 and 2017, respectively. From 2012 to 2015, he was a Research Assistant with the Institute of Photonics and Quantum Electronics, KIT. Since 2015, he has been a Senior Development Engineer with Infinera Corporation, Sunnyvale, CA, USA. His research interests include optical integration and high-speed electro-optic devices.
