M. Karen Newell Rogers

Our current research interests focus on chronic inflammation, B cell activation, cellular metabolism, regulation of cell death, and immuno-oncology. We use cell culture, pre-clinical models of chronic diseases, and flow cytometry to study these processes.We are currently studying the contribution of the immune response to post-traumatic brain injury associated neuro-degeneration; MHC class II-mediated cell death and how it is regulated; and the role of unwanted B cells in autoimmunity.
