Research interests: biochemistry and molecular biology, calcium metabolism, endocrine disruption, food science and technology. Currently is Teacher Coordinator in the School of Health teaching several Biochemistry courses. Member of the Editorial Board of the University of Algarve. Co-author of several scientific articles in specialized journals and conferences. Member of the Cochrane Community collaborating in several tasks, including peer-reviewing of several systematic reviews and protocols for systematic reviews.
