Mauro De Marchis graduated in “Engineering for Environmental and Territory" in 2003, at the University of Napoli with a dissertation in Environmental Engineering
with a score 110/110 with praise. He got the PhD in "Environmental Engineering " (XIX cycle) at the University of Palermo (Italy). He got the PhD in Engineering of Civil Network and Territorial System XIX Cycle with the dissertation of the thesis “Numerical study on the effects of wall roughness on the characteristics of turbulent flow fields".
He is member of Italian Professional Engineer register since 2003 and Italian Group of Hydraulic Engineering since 2004. As consultant he has carried out several hydraulic design, environmental hydraulic analysis and studies, management of hydraulic infrastructure.
Mauro De Marchis is responsible of the Environmental Hydraulic Laboratory at the University of Enna KORE. At the present he is teacher of Hydraulic Engineering at the course of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is scientific responsible of a project related to the leakages in water distribution networks.
He is author of several papers on international and national reviews on issues related to hydraulic engineering, with regard to management and design of water distribution network, environmental hydraulic and computational fluid dynamic in turbulent flow fields.
His research activities regards advanced in water distribution network. In particular, his research activities concerns the experimental and numerical analysis devoted to the control and detection of the leaks. Mauro De Marchis is an expert research and engineer in Computational Fluid Dynamic of turbulent flow as well as environmental and industrial fluid mechanics.
