Michel Bechtold

Models are repositories of knowledge and serve as thinking amplifiers when disentangling environmental processes. My work is on identifying and implementing crucial mechanisms into process models and constraining their parameterization with experimental data, machine learning and remote sensing; currently focused on the water and carbon cycle in peatlands.
