Dr. Lukasz Wisniewski studied Informatics with the focus on data bases and computer networks at the Technical University Opole (Poland). Since 2008 he is employed at the Institute Industrial IT (inIT) of the Technische Hochschule OWL (TH-OWL) in Lemgo. In 2014 he became a research group manager of the group computer networks with the focus on industrial communication systems, and since 2019 he is a part of the executive board of directors and. In 2022 he become a full professor for technologies of digital transformation at the TH-OWL. During his work at inIT he completed his doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) in a cooperative graduation with the Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg (Germany). In 2016 he took part in the Entrepreneurship Program of the Founders Foundation Academy led by Prof. Jan Brinckamann from ESADE. Since 2016 he is one of the co-organizers of one of the biggest IEEE conference in the area of Factory Automation (ETFA).
