Luis Mier-Y-Teran-Romero

L. Mier-y-Teran Romero received the B.S. degree in physics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico, in Mexico City, Mexico, in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA, in 2010. From 2010 to 2014, he held a joint Postdoctoral position with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, DC, working mainly on the mathematical modeling of disease transmission and swarming dynamics. He recently received an ORISE Fellowship to continue his epidemiological work at the Centers of Disease Control. His other research interests include nonlinear dynamics and the mathematical modeling of biological systems.
