Ludovic Bodet received his M.S. degree in Geophysics from the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris in France (2000). He worked during 2 years as an engineering geophysicist in Fugro France S.A. (marine geophysics). In 2005, he received a Ph.D. in applied geophysics from the Université and Ecole Centrale de Nantes, after 3 years at the The French Institute of Science and Technology for Transport, Development and Networks (Gustave Eiffel University) and the French Geological Survey (BRGM). He was recruited as an Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences), first in Le Mans (2006-2010) then at Sorbonne Université (campus Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris). Ludovic Bodet his involved in French (PIREN-Seine, CRITEX/OZCAR) and European (ITN ENIGMA) programs in which he develops seismic-based approaches for geotechnics and hydrogeophysics. He was/is PI and co-PI of both academic and industrial research projects. He was/is principal supervisor of 3 PhD students, 6 MS students, and co-advisor of 3 PhD students. He is currently coordinating the B.S. level at Polytech Sorbonne and is the coordinator of the "Hydrology, Hydrogeology and Near-Surface Geophysics" department at UMR METIS, Sorbonne Université. He is associate Editor for Near Surface Geophysics (EAGE) and BSGF (Earth Sciences Bulletin). His research interests include physical modelling of wave propagation (ultrasonic techniques) & multi-scale seismic imaging (guided waves), analogue modelling and granular media, numerical modelling, signal processing and inverse problems in geophysics.
