Bio
Louis-Pascal Tran-Huu-Hue was born in Castres, France, in 1962. He received the D.E.A. degree (M.Sc.) in physical acoustics from the University Paris 6 (Pierre and Marie Curie), in 1985, and the Ph.D. degree in life sciences from the University François-Rabelais of Tours, Tours, France, in 1989.
From 1985 to 1989, he worked on ultrasonic imaging with Professor L. Pourcelot, where he developed a transducer for real-time imaging of 3-D structures. In 1989, he became a member of a Research Team with the Centre National de Transfusion Sanguine, Tours, France, where he studied the biological effects of ultrasound. In 1990, he was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Groupement d’Intérêt Public Ultrasons in Tours. Since 1991, he has been a Professor of electrical engineering with the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées Centre Val de Loire (INSA-CVL), Blois, France.
