Clinical immunology, including the search for epithelial autoantigens in Ulcerative Colitis and pathogenetic mechanisms in Inflammatory Bowel diseases; immunomodulators in chronic inflammatory bowel diseases including their possible role in the development of cancer; studies assessing risk factors for overall cancer and specific cancer types in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases; search for non invasive techniques for assessing intestinal inflammation; search for new treatments in Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis in phase I, II e III clinical trials, muticenter studies investigating the cancer risk in inflammatory bowel diseases.
