Lilla Boroczky

Lilla Böröczky (S'88–M'91) received the M.S. degree from the Technical University of Budapest, Budapest, Hungary, in 1987, and the Ph.D. degree from Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands, in 1991, both in electrical engineering. From 1992 to 1995, she was a Senior Researcher at the KFKI Research Institute for Measurements and Computing Techniques, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest, Hungary. In 1995, she was a Visiting Researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY. From 1995 to 2000, she was an Advisory Engineer/Scientist with the Digital Video Products Group, IBM Corporation, Endicott, NY, working on real-time video compression. Currently she is a Senior Member of the Research Staff and a Project Leader in the Biomedical Informatics Department of Philips Research North America, Briarcliff Manor, NY. Her research interests include video coding and processing, motion estimation, medical decision support systems, and computer-aided diagnosis. She has authored or coauthored more than 50 journal and conference papers. She holds seven U.S. patents and several are pending. She was student member from 1998–1990 and member since 1991.
