Lilian Nuwabaine

Lilian Nuwabaine holds a Master of Nursing (Midwifery and Women’s Health) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, all from Makerere University. She is a certified trainer in Advanced Life Support, Comprehensive and Basic Emergency and Obstetric Newborn Care, Leadership and Management. She is currently working as the Continuous Professional Development Coordinator with Aga Khan University. Lilian also emerged as the Midwife of the year 2021 in the Heroes in Health Awards Uganda, an award by the Ministry of Health Uganda. She was also one of the staff that received an award of excellence in research scholarly outputs in June 2023 by The Aga Khan University School of Nursing and Midwifery, East Africa. Since 2022, Lilian has published over ten manuscripts in the area of reproductive maternal newborn child and adolescent health (RMNCAH). From September 2019, with Aga Khan University, Lilian has conducted over 90 trainings to over 3,000 nurses and midwives from different health facilities across Uganda in areas like RMNCAH, Basic Emergency Care, SRHR, Gender Based Violence and leadership and management among others.
