I have a keen interest towards neuropathology and have been studying the role of microglia in disease on molecular, cellular, intercellular and clinical levels. My expertise was acquired by investigating several neuropathological diseases including ALS (BS) and SMA (MS), neurometabolic peroxisomal diseases (PhD) at KULeuven (Belgium), Multiple Sclerosis (postdoctoral B.A.E.F. Fellow) at Harvard Medical School, and Alzheimer's (postdoctoral research scientist) at Columbia University.
