Research interests
Dr. Lees main research interests are in the area of exercise intervention in different clinical population including stroke and breast cancer and currently her interest expands to the impact of culture on health. Since completing her PhD, she has been collaborating with the breast cancer research group at the Faculty of Health Sciences, at the University of Sydney. She has conducted both laboratory and clinical research throughout her PhD and during her research associate work. Her laboratory research includes studies in the stroke population as well as in breast cancer and healthy normal population. She was a member of the team to investigate an early exercise program in women following breast cancer treatment in a large clinical trial. Her recent publication includes breast cancer screening in migrant Australian women.
