Laeticia Petit received the B.S. and M.S degrees in physical chemistry from the University of Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France, and the Ph.D. degree in materials science from the University of Bordeaux, Bordeaux, France, in 2002. She is currently the Manager of Glass Research at nLIGHT, fiber division located in Lohja, Finland. She joined the nLIGHT team in January 2009, following her previous post as a Research Assistant Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Clemson University. Since November 2013, she joined as Docent the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory at Åbo Akademi University (Finland). Her current research interests include the processing and characterization of novel active glasses and fibers for photonic applications. She has authored more than 74 refereed publications, reviews, proceedings and book chapters, presented more than 90 invited and contributed presentations in her career.
